That is why I believe I can walk your dog as well.

Nobody cares about you, your product or service, maybe some family members, or your pet, but really now, we need to talk about them, how this product or service will benefit them, and why this product or service is great for them, not for you.
Imagine the same salesman coming to your door and saying:
“Good afternoon,
“Would you like your dog walked and groomed absolutely free twice a week?”
Now this sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
Not saying you should go out there and offer things for free, but give people a reason to pay attention.
Also, just for the particular example, ask if they own a dog first.
